Kinderdagverblijf De Melkfabriek distinguishes itself in, among other things, organic food and -care products, playing with music, getting acquainted with the English language and yoga for an energetic, trendy and relaxed care. Our name fits the peaceful and industrial design. For a familiar but also warm atmosphere, where peace and security come first.
Kinderdagverblij De Melkfabriek is located in the heart of the beautiful city of Utrecht. We offer a total of five daycare locations. The first one is located between the Wittevrouwen and Oudwijk districts in the well-known Biltstraat. The second one is located in the centre, on the edge of the Wittevrouwen and the Vogelenbuurt, in one of the most historic streets of Utrecht, the Ridderschapstraat.
The third daycare center is located in Tuindorp, near a beautiful outdoor arena en fenced playground in the Raiffeisenlaan. In 2019 two new beautiful locations were opened in the green Groenekan and cosy De Bilt.
In 2010 we started our first location in the Biltstraat. The old pharmacy building now houses a spacious daycare center. We provide care to children from 10 weeks to 4 years old, divided into three baby groups, two vertical groups (all ages) and two toddler groups. On the back of the building a very spacious, adventurous outdoor area is located (270m2), where children can play, slide, cycle and shovel.
In 2013 De Melkfabriek started a second location, in the Ridderschapstraat, in a beautiful monumental building. The building has served as a coach house and was completely renovated in the 1970s. Original elements have been preserved and are combined with modern, industrial aspects. This small-scale location provides care to two vertical groups, with access to a large outdoor area (300 m2)
In August 2016, the third location was opened in the child-friendly Tuindorp district, in the Raiffeisenlaan across a nice fenced playground, also known as the Lubroveldje. Again, a small-scale location with one toddler group and one baby-toddler group.
In 2019, we opened two beautiful new locations. Our fourth daycare center is located on the outskirts of Tuindorp in Groenekan. A beautiful, detached monumental building between the meadows. In 2022 we added our first out out-of-school location BSO De Melkfabriek Na School in primary school De Nijepoort.
You will find our fifth location in De Bilt, between a primary school and a daycare center for the elderly. It’s great to see how different social groups live side by side here.
Our tool is playful development, our goal is attention for each unique child. We are satisfied if you can go to work carefree and your child has a nice familiar place that offers much more than just care. A place where attention, security and safety come first.
